We stopped by Chuck’s BBQ in Herrin yesterday (Saturday), unsure of what we were in the mood for—but the drive-thru at Chuck’s sounded like a solid choice. And it definitely was.

🔥 My Order:

I went with the catfish bites along with baked beans and French fries. On a scale of 1–10, I’d give it a solid 9.5.

The catfish was fresh, hot, and full of flavor—easily enough for two meals.

The baked beans were hot and well-seasoned—classic BBQ side done right.

The fries? Here’s where the half-point comes off. They weren’t as crispy as I personally like. Next time, I’ll ask for them to be cooked a bit longer, and I’m sure they’ll be perfect.

🍔 Dawn’s Order:

Dawn went with the cheeseburger combo and onion rings.

Chuck’s cheeseburgers are always a hit—juicy, flavorful, and served hot.

The onion rings were exactly how they should be—crunchy and piping hot.

💰 Value & Experience:

The portions are generous, and the quality is great for the price. Just keep in mind: Chuck’s isn’t a fast food place. They take the time to make your order right—so if you’re in a hurry, it might not be the stop for you. But if you’re looking for delicious, made-to-order BBQ or burgers, Chuck’s is the place.

👍 Final Thoughts:

If you’re anywhere near Herrin, IL, and craving some good comfort food, swing by Chuck’s BBQ. Whether it’s catfish, a burger, or BBQ, you won’t be disappointed.
